Learn how to make Kosambari, a quick and healthy vegetarian salad recipe by Anushruti only on Rajshri Food! <br /> <br />Kosambari, a traditional salad that is healthy and easy to make is a celebrated salad dish in South India often made during the illustrious events of Ram Navmi and Navratri. <br /> <br />Ingredients: <br /> <br />210 gm (1 cup) green gram dal or Bengal gram dal <br />½ cup grated carrot <br />½ cup finely chopped cucumber <br />2 green chilies, chopped <br />1 tsp lime juice <br />2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves <br />salt to taste <br />¼ cup grated coconut <br />For Seasoning: <br />2 tsp oil <br />½ tsp mustard seeds <br />3 to 4 bits of dry red chili <br /> <br />Method: <br /> <br />- Wash and soak the dal in water for about an hour or two. <br />- Drain the water off the dal and put it in a bowl. Add the grated carrot and chopped cucumber.
